How many state univeristies could have sheltered people? How many public hospitals that we already pay for could have provided medicine and care? But a mayor can't call on that type compassionate captial. Neither can a governor. And if great names they could, it would be to a minimal extent. It takes a coordinated effort, from the Feds on down. And the feds (FEMA, DHS, Bush) dragged their feet 'til people were dying of thirst. Water, water everywhere ... Then again, I shouldn't expect clear thinking from someone who holds people who post on a message board to a higher standard than his own President. |
