I would guess that a huge portion momand son sex of people wouldn't even understand that to you "under God" in the pledge of allegiance is a theological statement with potential to offend. To them it's just a commonplace synonymous with good behavior and proper feelings towards one's country. |

The ironic thing, though, is that I think your post had a lot more valid theological perspective than a lot of the so-called "religious" commentary getting thrown around out there right now. You have an opinion about the nature of God (doesn't exist) that you've presumably thought about, enough to be deeply offended by social insistense that you act in ways that go against that opinion. |
