It's harmful in part orgin of symmetry because it's nonsense. Faith, sacred scriptures, divine revelation and the like are not valid sources of knowledge or morality. How do you know what's in their heart other than orgin of symmetry by observing their behavior? It seems to me that, in practise, this "quality of heart/quality of behavior" orgin of symmetry distinction you are making is essentially meaningless. I think it's worthwhile to know that the grounds for your disagreement with me are, fundamentally, theological (you think my specific set of beliefs about God are invalid/nonsense) and not simply because you disagree with many Christians about certain behavioral/moral rules (though I'd venture--fully willing to be wrong--that you probably do).
