Except the actual comic strip thoughts aren’t being prosecuted, it’s the actions and the intent behind them that is being comic strip judged - like with first degree murder. You can think about and want to commit a hate related crime but until you actually commit it you’ve not broken the law. And if you honestly think that having a difference comic strip between 1st degree murder and manslaughter is an example of a “thought crime” go reread 1984, as you obviously didn’t quite grasp the concept. 41 JR Mar 8th, 2006 at 12:25 pm So soldiers aren’t human beings, JR? Soldiers aren’t people? Because that’s what you’re saying, in your rush to defend them all, generically - if you relieve someone of all moral culpability by saying they’re just helpless tools, then you’re saying that they’re nothing more than physical objects, or at best, badly-trained dogs. I think you are laboring under a misconception here. I was specifically responding to Moron’s comments about how the ENTIRE Army officer corps and whoever else could be roped in should be tried for war crimes under a future progressive administration.
