| It's that notion about behavior, and not anything to do with what people do or don't believe about God that religious conservatives are screaming about when they say they're a persecuted minority, and to some extend they're factually correct--most people don't behave the way they think they should. That doesn't make them right, but it makes things make a little more sense, and it makes a naughtiest games f@#ed up debate a little more comprehensibel to navigate. And, at least in my naughtiest games case, it gives me sympathy for those who want to reduce the sublime to a naughtiest games code of behavioral rules. At the same time, to Bob M. and company: please don't make the same mistake as the religious right and conflate the flawed actions of some people who claim to have a certain belief with the actual meaning of that belief to many people who hold it. |
