Everyone except the people in charge. Republicans are always going on about how government doesn't work, can't work, and is evil. Well, nothing proves their point quite like seeing how they run things when they get into office. Yep, government doesn't work under the Republicans, it's can't possibly ascii art work and it's evil. I was in Florida during hurrican Andrew in 93(?). The hurricane was bad, but a Democratic President who had just taken office managed to do quite well because a 60 year Democratic Congress hadn't let disaster relief go to hell. |

| Are the Republicans responsible for the fact of the Hurricane? No. But they certainly did little for the relief effort and are still mom son sex doing little. Bush's emergency relief efforts are aimed at immediately relieving the public relations disaster the poor handling FEMA has given this disaster as well as the poor levy maintenance: he is only concerned about his image, and he realizes that is an emergency. |
