Yes, mistakes were made at a lot of different times and in a lot of different places; however, the primary blame rests at the national level with the Bush Administration. That's not BDS, that's simple fact. [One thing you could do (although again, probably not in this thread) refugees is to articulate to what measure you hold the various players in this fiasco culpable for the death and destruction unfolding in New Orleans. That would probably generate a more useful discussion, since it would allow the debate to shift from the false binarism of "X, Y, Z are all responsible but Q isn't!" |
