| Heck he pre-emptively declared on SATURDAY the 27th Louisiana a disaster area so Blanco could request Federal aid immediately. She did not even pre-position aid, fuel, helicopters etc close but out of the way of the storm since if it mom hit it would take out I-10 and most everything else isolating New Orleans. Neither would most Democratic Mayors and Governors who are competent in responding to emergencies. Die Hard Dems who loathed Mike Foster with all their beings wish he was back instead of Blanco. Where Bush is to blame is for not asking Blanco to step aside, publicly, on Wed; and failing that call on Congress to declare Martial Law (he can't declare it) and assume personal responsibility on-site; firing Chertoff and Brown and declaring Nagin irrelevant. |
