NOTHING got done. Louisiana Logic. Louisiana is not the United States, and is not even in the 20th Century let alone the 21st. On a good day it's in the Nineteenth. Ask any native who has lived outside for a couple of years; or someone who's lived there for a couple de sade of years (passing out drunk on Spring Break at Pat O's doesn't count). LAST YEAR Florida had FIVE major hurricanes and you did not see this mess. Once the levees failed (which was predicted over and over de sade and over again) you would have over 100,000 very de sade vulnerable people without food, water, shelter, power/AC, and security who would start dying quickly. EVERYONE in Louisiana knew this and did nothing and thought the Hurricane would "magically" move away from the Big Easy. Makes sense if you've lived down there for a while. Absent Bush running every single city and State like Fidel Castro or Vladimir Putin does, he could not do much but clean up the mess long after people started dying.
