They certainly wouldn’t have reduced his sentence something like 1/3 to a 1/2 of what rape sentences are (8 yr. min. - 12 minor laws yr. max.). After all, she was probably just another disposable fuck toy. Helping the poor suffering soldier was much more important. That’s just it though. I read an account of the same thing from italian newspapers online shortly when I was alerted to this travesty, and the newspaper reports in Italy minor laws cite that the questure (i.e., police provence) thought she must have been a prostitute, but she insists to this very day that she minor laws is not. Truth be told, there are a lot of legal and illegal immigrants in Italy that do all sorts of jobs that Italians would not do (doesn’t pay enough, distasteful to their sensibilities) that immigrants are more than willing to do (and if this brings to mind our own problems with people crossing our borders illegally so to work minimum wage jobs, it definitely should - it’s the same exact problem), so I am disinclined to assume, as you would, that she ought to have been a prostitute.
