Surely there are a few who DID have the price of a bus ticket, or a train ticket, and chose to stay anyway. With fingers crossed in the hope that "they" would come to the rescue. | No matter HOW you feel about sumbissions illegal immigrants, you have to admit they have courage and determination. And I think that kind of courage and determination is what is needed in New Orleans now and even more in the future. I agree, the NGO's do an amazing job in Africa. I would hope that the hospitals etc. were assisted by the "state" in relocating everyone who was bedridden. I'm talking about those spritely youngsters who can run with a TV (colour or otherwise), or swim through raging floodwaters chest high with their arms full? Is there such a thing as a politician who DOESN'T lie and cheat and watch his own interests first? |
