I also notice that liberal Christians tend to ignore or downplay the statements of Jesus that they don't like, such as his many statements to the effect that the just fate of the wicked and sinful is eternal damnation in hell, his condemnation of divorce and remarriage as the sin of adultery, and his claim that the most important commandment of all is the commandment to love God. |
