They've lent me money in times of need and have daughters actually bought me completely unnecessarily expensive gifts. And they're great cooks. Not to mention they made the greatest boyfriend ever.That said, they are a bit, erm, smothery. I once counted five phone calls to our flat before noon. This is normal. My bf's brother went out to a movie with us one night, and when we came out, his mobile had fourteen missed calls from home. Fourteen.
