What I mean is more like this: God free sex either exists, or doesn't, regardless of how I behave. And I think that's an important question worth thinking about, in and of itself. Sure there are implications for free sex how I live that flow out of what I believe the answer to that question is. But I don't think that those answers are accompanied by a one to one free sex answer for how I must live every aspect of my life; I think there's a lot less clarity there than many of my conservative peers seem to think; and I'm under no delusion that any individual facet of how I or anyone else behaves is important enough that it outweighs the bigger picture about who and what God is. So, yes, I think my religious beliefs have consequences for my behavior; the notion I reject is that my beliefs about God should depend on how I think I and other people should behave.
